Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Schedule Requirements
- Weekend shifts required
- Holidays required as scheduled
- On-call required
- Floating required within the specialty, other units, and sister facilities within scope
Unit Details
- PACU with 28 bays
- Patient population includes neonates through geriatrics
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
- Care includes peri-anesthesia support for inpatient and outpatient surgical patients
- Nurses must be competent in vasopressor titration, airway management, ventilator care, blood product administration, and fluid resuscitation

- Scrub color: navy blue
- Two supervisory references required
- Previous 5 years of employment history verification required
- Physical exam, drug screening, TB screening, and flu vaccination/documentation are required before start
