Pediatric cardiac ICU setting
Average daily census: 21
Beds: 32
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
Every other weekend required
Unit accepts first-time travelers

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska
Pediatrics CVICU experience within the last year
2 years of Pediatrics CVICU experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with pediatric patients
Cardiac ICU experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Clinical Experience / Unit Exposure

Post-op open hearts
Single ventricles
Complex cardiac anatomy/physiology
Heart transplant
Heart failure
Invasive cardiac monitoring, including CVP, ART, and RA
ECMO and CRRT exposure or experience
Vasopressors
Cardiac drips
Sedation drips

Education verification
Transcript or diploma accepted in place of education verification
NURSYS verification
State license verification

Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit test within 12 months of start
Tdap vaccine
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
TB questionnaire if there is a past positive TB result
Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation
Hepatitis B immunity or vaccine series
Varicella immunity documentation
Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC
Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if applicable
