Job Opportunity: Inpatient Evening Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist (Travel/Contract)

Job Requirements
- Licenses & Certifications:
- California State Pharmacist License (RPh)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience: Inpatient critical care pharmacy experience preferred
- Work Schedule: Evening shifts, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
Background Check & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
- Annual updates required for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS screenings
- Sex Offender Search must be run within 90 days of start
- Education verification required unless highest education is high school
- Transcript/Diploma verification as needed, especially for international education
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA/AAP only, Instructor or Advanced Provider Course
- CCRN (Critical Care RN)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – typically for Labor & Delivery
- State License verification and NURSYS verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days of start
- Other certifications as required by position (e.g., IV Certification, Management of Assaultive Behavior, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI)
Competency Exams (as applicable)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Competency Exam with minimum passing score of 80% (or Angoff score if higher)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (may be required for some units)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must indicate cleared for work)
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply for pharmacists)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella – positive titers or vaccination series
- Hepatitis B – positive titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella – positive titer or vaccination series
- Seasonal Flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids)
- Respiratory Safety clearance (not required for pharmacists)
- Color Blind Exam (in-person, if applicable)

- Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps
