Job Opportunity: OT Behavioral Health (Travel/Contract)
Location: Burlingame, California

Job Description
- Provide occupational therapy in an acute care setting.
- Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to help restore vocational, homemaking, daily living skills, and general independence for persons with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Behavioral health experience is required.
Requirements
- California OT License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience in occupational therapy.
- Must have behavioral health experience.
- Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, Day Shift (08:00 - 17:30), 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts.
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and motor vehicle report if applicable.
- FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually.
- Sex offender search required within 90 days of start.
- Education verification required (not needed if highest education is high school).
- Transcript/Diploma verification as needed, especially for international education.
- Pending background check attestation not accepted for this facility; no conditional clearances allowed.
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only.
- Behavioral health experience is mandatory; additional certifications may be verified as per position requirements.
- Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, and others may be required depending on the role but are not explicitly required for this OT position.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must indicate cleared for work).
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types accepted).
- Immunizations required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years).
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: proof of immunity or vaccination required.
- Hepatitis B: series or signed declination.
- Varicella: proof of immunity or vaccination.
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30).
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law).

- Must provide a passport-style photo for badge.
- Must complete and sign facility-specific documents including job description review, standards of business conduct, confidentiality agreement, vendor training, code of conduct, overpayment refund policy, TB questionnaire, and others prior to start.
- Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps; employment verification required.
- References: 2 professional references required for clinical/allied acute care candidates.
