Overview

Travel/Contract role in New Orleans, Louisiana
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 8:00–20:30
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit / Assignment Details

Supports patients for all major surgical services
Unit supports all surgical/procedural populations except patients requiring critical care services
Covers pre-op, Phase I recovery, and Phase II recovery for pediatric and adult patients
Department includes 34 ORs across 2 floors
Candidates must be comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Ability to float to pediatric PACU as needed
Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

ACLS
BCLS
PALS

Preferred Qualifications

Background in PACU or Pre/Post Op experience
