Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Surgery/Day Surgery

Location: Ithaca, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)

Job Description

Role involves Preoperative (Preop) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing.
On-call requirement: approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call within an 8-week period.
- Weeknight call hours: 9 PM – 7 AM
- Weekend call hours: 7 AM – 7 AM
Shift options include:
- 6 AM – 6 PM
- 7 AM – 7 PM
- 8 AM – 8 PM
- 9 AM – 9 PM

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in Day Surgery.
Day Surgery experience within the last year.
Experience in Outpatient Surgery.
