Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (Med Surg)

Location: Utica, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Med Surg unit
Patient ratios:
- Days: 1:5-6
- Nights: 1:6-7
Return to Office (RTO): Only one holiday allowed; total time off 7 days or less
Local radius: 75 miles
Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse license in New York
Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg specialty
BLS certification
EPIC experience

Certifications (must be current)

ACLS (AHA strongly preferred)
BLS (AHA strongly preferred)
PALS (if applicable)
TNCC (required for ER staff)
NIH Stroke Certification (if working in ICU, PCU, ER, CT ICU, or 7th Floor Med Surg Unit)
NY Harassment Prevention Training (annual)

Required Documents & Compliance

Background checks including 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
Education Verification
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit Mask test within 1 year and updated annually (specific mask types required)
Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (with specific documentation requirements)
Immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
