Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Dayshift: 06:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Sunday through Wednesday
• Call responsibility: One 8-hour shift every 2 weeks
• Call shifts may be:

  • Weekdays: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
  • Weekends: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Requirements

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for specialty (no lower value provided)
• Certifications:

  • ARRT certification required
  • Virginia state license required (can submit with license pending; temporary license possible if holding another state license)
• Experience:

  • Helpful to have experience with EPIC electronic medical records and Carestream portable machines

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
• Drug testing within 2 months of start, updated annually (10-panel including marijuana and fentanyl)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD or Qgold acceptable)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer (positive required or follow-up antigen titer)
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (no exemptions accepted)
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
• Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments (professional appearance, compliance, screening forms)

Certifications & Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on unit
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, etc.) may be required based on specialty/unit
• Pass/Fail testing for cardiac rhythm interpretation during orientation for adult inpatient RN positions
• Medication and competency exams as applicable

Additional Notes

• No return permanent staff eligible for submission
• Radiation badges for new candidates are not provided by the agency; must be supplied by the facility if needed
• Some behavioral health or specific units may require additional fingerprinting and abuse registry checks
