Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Work Schedule
- Dayshift: 06:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Sunday through Wednesday
- Call responsibility: One 8-hour shift every 2 weeks
- Call shifts may be:
- Weekdays: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
- Weekends: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for specialty (no lower value provided)
- Certifications:
- ARRT certification required
- Virginia state license required (can submit with license pending; temporary license possible if holding another state license)
- Experience:
- Helpful to have experience with EPIC electronic medical records and Carestream portable machines

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD or Qgold acceptable)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella vaccinations or positive titers
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer (positive required or follow-up antigen titer)
- Varicella vaccination or titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination (no exemptions accepted)
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
- Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments (professional appearance, compliance, screening forms)
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on unit
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, etc.) may be required based on specialty/unit
- Pass/Fail testing for cardiac rhythm interpretation during orientation for adult inpatient RN positions
- Medication and competency exams as applicable
Additional Notes
- No return permanent staff eligible for submission
- Radiation badges for new candidates are not provided by the agency; must be supplied by the facility if needed
- Some behavioral health or specific units may require additional fingerprinting and abuse registry checks
