Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

  • Shift Requirements:

    • 10-hour shifts between 6 AM and 7 PM
    • Weekends as needed
    • May require staying until last patient is cared for
    • Call may be required (no call on holidays)
    • Floating as needed
  • Unit Info:

    • Invasive Cardiology unit with 4 Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 Electrophysiology labs
    • 23 prep/recovery bays
    • Performs over 6,000 procedures annually including:
      • Complex coronary procedures
      • Ventricular assist device (VAD)/ECMO
      • Structural heart procedures (TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping)
      • Complex atrial and ventricular ablations
      • Pacemaker/ICD implant & explant
      • Cardioversion
      • Pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation
      • Peripheral intervention and pulmonary embolectomy
  • Additional Info:

    • May care for COVID patients
    • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Experience & Certifications

  • Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years
  • Certifications Required:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Other Requirements:
    • EPIC experience required

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Background Checks & Verifications

  • 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
  • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start (can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
  • Education verification of highest level completed
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (must be completed within 5 years; can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical or religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
  • COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year of start (Aya requirement only)
  • Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually

Competency & Skills

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
  • Skills checklist required annually

Documentation & Other Requirements

  • Clear, professional passport-style photo for badge
  • Two professional references within 3 years
  • Most recent resume or employment application
  • Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment
  • Completion of facility-specific modules and new hire orientation by end of first day
  • Review and sign facility policies including:
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Non-Employee Affidavit

Additional Notes

  • Return to Office (RTO) maximum: 7 days
  • Weekend and floating shifts as needed
  • No call on holidays
  • Facility is tobacco and fragrance free; travelers should be aware

This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with at least 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology, who are comfortable working in a high-acuity invasive cardiology setting and have EPIC experience. Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
