Job Description

13-week contract position
Unit types include general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, and surgical
Must have chemotherapy/oncology experience
Will float to PICU and NICU as needed; additional float units possible based on skill set and hospital needs
Every other weekend shift (Saturday/Sunday)
Patient ratio approximately 1:5
Charting system: EPIC
Scrub color: Navy
First-time travelers are accepted

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum 1.5 years of pediatrics experience
Pediatrics experience within the last year
Registered Nurse license valid in New Jersey
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
CPR certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
IV Certification

Unit is traveler friendly. Multiple RNs to a room for day shift. Must be a strong, well rounded circulator cases vary greatly. If you're in the room you most likely are the senior nurse.

Cons

If you hate precepting, this is not the place for you.
