Registered Nurse – Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Overview

• Requires floating to different units as needed.
• Active role involving ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
• Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses.
• Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
• Must work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and be available for call.
• Must work at least 50% of holidays during the contract.
• No local candidates within 50 miles accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Post Partum nursing experience, with recent Post Partum experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Physical and Work Environment

• Physically demanding position requiring mobility and strength.
• Exposure to contagious diseases.
• Work in a fast-paced hospital environment with rotating shifts and holiday coverage.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be able to work the full contract term at the assigned location.
• Must be able to work substantial portions of assigned shifts and meet all scheduling requirements.
• Facility-specific forms and screenings must be completed timely to ensure clearance to start.
• CPI certification is not required for this specialty.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are not required for this Mother-Baby/Post Partum RN role.

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with neonatal resuscitation certification seeking a travel contract in a busy hospital setting with night shifts and floating responsibilities.
