Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3x12 hour shifts)
• Daily caseload varies by shift and location
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
• On-call: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (CT) certification
• Experience working with Siemens equipment

Facility & Work Environment

• Type: Teaching hospital with Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation
• Total staffed beds: 865
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
• Parking: Paid parking required nights and weekends; one-time $20 parking pass fee
• Radius rule: 60 miles; local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis

Health & Safety Requirements

• Fit test: N95 mask fit test within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually (specific mask models required)
• Immunizations/Vaccinations:

  • Tdap within 10 years or declination form required
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or vaccination series required; low titers require boosters
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination required
  • Flu vaccine: Required during flu season (Aug 1 - Mar 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted but no declinations
• TB Testing: Negative T-spot or Q-Gold within 90 days of start; annual TB questionnaire required
• Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start; no instant tests accepted
• Physical Exam: Initial and annual physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands

Documentation & Compliance

• Background Check: Comprehensive 7-year background check including SSN trace, state and national criminal checks, sex offender registry, and FACIS 3
• Employment Verification: Last 3 clinical employers verified; attestation letters accepted only if other verification methods exhausted
• Education Verification: Required; diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if verification pending
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Competency Exams: Required as applicable, including medication/pharmacology competency and color blindness testing
• Photo for Badge: Clear, passport-style photo with solid light background, frontal view, business casual attire, no hats or sunglasses
• Facility Orientation: Completion of required online modules prior to start (approx. 2 hours)

Additional Notes

• Hurricane Season (June-November): Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during this period; consider before accepting assignment
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Radiation Badge Process: Candidates cannot start without radiation badge; badges may take 5-7 days to arrive after ordering
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records must be uploaded or declination form completed
