Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Coon Rapids, Minnesota
• 13-week assignment
• Acute Care Hospital
• Teaching Hospital
• Level 2 Trauma Center
• 258 staffed beds
• Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00–7:30) or 5x8 hours (19:00–3:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Will float between Mercy Coon Rapids and Mercy Unity campuses as needed
• First-timers accepted
• Locals accepted
• No on-call
• No block schedule
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week for 12-hour shifts; 40 hours/week for shifts under 12 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• IV start capability
• Pending license not accepted
• Criminal background check required within 1 year of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required within 1 year of start
• HHS/OIG required within 1 year of start
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Competency Exam
• Skills checklist required annually
• Primary source verification of license required
• Tdap required for all candidates
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunization/documentation requirements apply
• RespSafety clearance required prior to start
