Labor and Delivery Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Indianapolis, Indiana
Night shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Specialty focus: OB, with labor, LDRP, high-risk antepartum, and C-section circulation responsibilities

Schedule and Work Expectations

Every 3rd weekend required
Holidays coverage expected
On-call not required
Floating is rare and may be to NICU as helping hands
Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed, but the unit will try to accommodate if requested

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Indiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Ability to circulate own C-Section
Experience with Epic
Must live at least 50 miles away from all CHN facilities

Preferred Qualifications

AWHONN Intermediate
ACLS

Additional Notes

Strong labor nursing experience is needed
