Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of strong labor nursing experience and prior travel experience.
Details
- LDRP unit within a hospital setting including High Risk/Antepartum care
- Facility performs over 300 births per month
- Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Required to work every 3rd weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Rare floating to NICU as helping hands
- Holiday coverage needed
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS and NRP required
- AWHONN Intermediate and ACLS certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must be able to circulate own C-Section
- Skilled in labor and delivery management, vaginal delivery, and postpartum care of C-section patients
- Experience with fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Skilled in IV therapy and phlebotomy
- Experience in antepartum care and obstetrical triage
Additional Information
- Serve as a strong labor nurse, as this is the primary area of need on the unit
- Must be willing to float within scope of experience within the hospital
- Must live at least 50 miles from all CHN facilities to be considered for this position
- Scrub color required: Seal Blue
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Returning travelers are welcome back to the facility without any waiting period between contracts
