Registered Nurse — Behavioral Health

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Roanoke, Virginia
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
• 13-week contract
• 12-bed inpatient unit serving adult patients with complex medical conditions, co-occurring behavioral health needs, and substance use disorders

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Behavioral Health (1 year of experience)
• Behavioral Health experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• CPI
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg experience
• Experience with Epic

Schedule and Work Expectations

• May work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• May be required to float within skillset
• May be required to work as charge and to precept
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Unit Focus

• Care includes assessment, stabilization, treatment, medication management, behavioral support, and discharge planning
• Works with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and addiction specialists
• Emphasis on patient safety, recovery-oriented treatment, and transitions to community-based services
