Job Details

• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on the unit.
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6.
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required.
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply.
• Must be willing to float to any Medical Surgical unit.
• Block scheduling is not allowed.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Must include permanent address in profile; travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be noted and verified at profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed, and requests after submission or during interview will not be approved.
• At least two specific interview dates/times of availability must be provided; vague availability such as "anytime" is not accepted.
• Travelers must have voicemail set up on their phones for facility contact; lack of voicemail will result in redirection.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred but not required.

• Must include Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License with submission (required by state for temporary staffing).
• Facility will not pend certifications; all required certifications must be current and uploaded at profile submission.
• Scheduling requests must be made at time of submission; requests after offer or at interview may lead to rescinded offers.
