Nursing Director Residential Living

Schedule

• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• Ideally Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some flexibility

Contract Length

• 12 weeks

Role Summary

Provides leadership and operational direction for a residential living setting that includes long-term, skilled nursing, and short-term transitional care.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Montana
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Director of Nursing experience within the last year
• 3 years of Director of Nursing experience
• Experience in management roles
• Long Term Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution, to be obtained within 4 years of hire
• Prior leadership experience as a Nursing Executive Director, Nursing Home Administrator, or Community Manager
• Experience in the area of oversight

Key Responsibilities

• Lead staffing, employee relations, budgeting, supply acquisition, process improvement, and performance evaluations
• Ensure nursing care is efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate
• Support hiring, orientation, retention, and staff satisfaction
• Oversee clinical program protocols, monitoring, and improvement efforts
• Coordinate performance and compliance with patient safety and regulatory standards
• Evaluate staff competency through performance and peer reviews
• Partner with physicians and other leadership to achieve clinical, operational, and service goals
• Support staff participation in community organizations and outreach activities
