Nurse Supervisor

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Acute - Nursing
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Shift: Associate Director of Nursing in General Pediatrics, PICU, NICU
Hours: 7 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week

Job Summary

Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance.
Monitor patient care performance and assess units alongside nurse managers.
Communicate and assist with corrective actions as needed.
Develop record-keeping systems to document medication errors and counseling.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York with primary source verification from the New York State Department of Education.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
At least 1 year of recent experience working with pediatric patients, including experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Demonstrated experience working with pediatric patients in the last year.
Proven supervisory experience in nursing settings.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing.
