Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Provide nursing care in the Operating Room following hospital policies and AORN, ASPAN standards.
  • Participate in patient teaching tailored to specific age and cultural needs.
  • Engage in quality improvement activities.
  • Work schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
  • No call, weekends, or holiday shifts.

Specialty

  • Operating Room (OR) with required Ophthalmology experience (Cataracts, Glaucoma, Corneal Transplant, Ocular Plastic Surgeries).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Ophthalmology experience totaling at least 40 hours.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • BLS certification.

Additional Information

  • Position is in a fast-paced, progressive surgery center specializing in adult ophthalmic surgeries.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Facility located in Newington, CT.
