Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care in the Operating Room following hospital policies and AORN, ASPAN standards.
Participate in patient teaching tailored to specific age and cultural needs.
Engage in quality improvement activities.
Work schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
No call, weekends, or holiday shifts.

Specialty

Operating Room (OR) with required Ophthalmology experience (Cataracts, Glaucoma, Corneal Transplant, Ocular Plastic Surgeries).

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut.
Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
Ophthalmology experience totaling at least 40 hours.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
BLS certification.

Additional Information

Position is in a fast-paced, progressive surgery center specializing in adult ophthalmic surgeries.
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Facility located in Newington, CT.
