Surgical Technician

Overview

Long-term assignment in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Rotating shifts: days, evenings, and nights
Call and weekends are required
No block scheduling
Shift: PM

Required Qualifications

Surgical Technician (2 years of experience)
Surgical Technician experience within the last year
1 year or more of total travel experience
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience working with Neuro patients
Experience working with Vascular patients
Experience working with Transplant patients
Experience with the da Vinci surgical robot
Experience with robotic surgery including cardiac procedures (move arms and drape)
Experience with orthopedic surgery including total joint procedures
Experience with neurological surgery including cranial and spine procedures
Experience with complex general surgery

Clinical Experience

General
Ortho, including total joints
Neuro, including crani and spine
Vascular
Trauma
Robotics - DaVinci, including Cardiac arm movement and draping
Transplant is not a hard stop

Call Details

Call response time: 30 minutes
Call may be weekday and/or weekend
Weekend call may fall on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
In 6 weeks, there may be up to 3 weekend call shifts
Weekend call may be Saturday (24 hours, 7a-7a) or Sunday (16 hours, 7a-11p)
More night shifts may occur on Friday nights

In-house call rooms are available for use if needed
