13 weeks

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Three weekends out of every six-week schedule
Every other holiday

Required Qualifications

Current active compact RN license
AHA BLS
NIHSS
2 years of strong medical-surgical experience
1 travel assignment
Trauma level II experience

Experience / Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Experience with remote telemetry
Experience with chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, heparin drips, blood and blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management

Clinical Setting

Medical-surgical patient population including post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF

Work Conditions

First to float within skillset
May float across campuses with short notice
Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires
41-bed unit
Day shift ratio: 1:4-5
Night shift ratio: 1:6-7

Additional Notes

No local candidates within 40 miles
Recent EPIC experience required
Clinical interview required
COVID-19 vaccine not required, subject to change
