Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel assignment in Iron River, Michigan
  • Specialty: Medical-Surgical
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Start: ASAP
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Schedule

  • 12-hour nights
  • Every weekend
  • Every other holiday
  • Shift time: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Med Surg (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred

  • ACLS
  • ED experience
  • ICU experience is not required

Work Setting

  • 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit
  • Primarily geriatric patient population
  • May float to the ED within competency
  • May be low censused and placed on call
  • Call-back minimum: 2 hours

Clinical Details

  • Typical patient ratios: 1:4–1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights
  • Common conditions include CHF, COPD, and diabetes

Additional Notes

  • Candidates with both Medical-Surgical and ED experience are highly preferred
  • Med-Surg-only candidates will be fully considered
  • Any colored scrubs are allowed
