Respiratory Therapist

Location

Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

13 weeks

Shift

Nights, 12-hour shifts

Schedule

Team scheduling
Weekend coverage required: days every third weekend; nights every other weekend
Holidays rotate with permanent staff

Setting

Inpatient role covering all areas/floors
Patient population includes neonates through geriatrics
Floating required to different areas throughout the hospital in the respiratory therapy capacity

Required Qualifications

Current ACLS and BLS certification
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience
Driver’s license required at submission
Must be able to work within 50 miles of the facility
Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity

Required Skills / Experience

EKGs
Bedside bronchoscopy
Bedside spirometry

Additional Notes

Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
Requested time off must be submitted upfront; additional time off will not be approved after submission
