Respiratory Therapist Travel Opportunity

Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. The therapist will provide basic cardiopulmonary care in general patient care areas and may be assigned advanced patient care duties as appropriate. The position requires working every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) including holidays, on the 7 PM to 7 AM shift.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
Licensed and registered Respiratory Therapist in West Virginia
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
BLS (AHA) certification
Experience using EPIC electronic medical records system
Must comply with facility dress code (Navy Blue Scrubs)
No false nails allowed
Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license (50 mile radius rule applies)

Additional Information

The therapist will work under the supervision of the cardiopulmonary director or supervisor
Licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission
Night shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM, every weekend including holidays

Coworkers were great, very welcoming

Cons

Was told in phone interview that max ratio would be 1:9. Reality was 1:15. Unit was considered transitional, but patients were more like med/surg. Not willing to risk my license for such unsafe ratios.
