Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Post Acute Long-Term Care (Nights)

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)

Job Summary

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care in a therapeutic environment for residents in long-term care and rehabilitation units.
• Units include:

  • Specialized 31-bed unit for Alzheimer's/dementia residents, focusing on tailored communication and care.
  • 42-bed Transitional Rehabilitation Unit providing short-term skilled nursing and rehab services (e.g., IV therapy, wound care, geriatric assessment).
  • 42-bed long-term care unit for residents needing home-like long-term placement.
• Flexibility to float between units as needed.
• Coverage required 24/7 with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Maine
• Minimum of 2 years LPN / LVN experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate's degree in Nursing
• Experience in Long Term Care

Additional Information

• Candidates with prior licensure issues will not be considered.
• Previous employees are not eligible to apply.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
