Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient Orthopedics

Location: Frederick, Maryland
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Description

• Work with a dynamic patient caseload primarily involving post-op orthopedic cases (general and total joints), back and neck (manual therapy), and other musculoskeletal conditions.
• Provide 1:1 patient treatment in a hands-on environment.
• Deliver highly personalized and patient-centered care.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays.

• Provide therapy services across the lifespan, fostering lifelong patient relationships.

Required Qualifications

• Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy school.
• Current Maryland state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of orthopedic and manual therapy experience preferred; strong orthopedic clinicals considered.
• Strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality, outcomes-driven physical therapy services.
• Document patient care accurately and timely using web-based EMR systems.
• Oversee compliance of department documentation.
• Conduct patient and family education.
• Maintain strong communication and time management skills.

• Prior travel experience is not specified or required.
• Contract length is 13 weeks.
• Specialty years of experience required: 1 year orthopedic/manual therapy experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinicals considered).
