Cytotechnologist - Contract Position
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours each (38 hours per week)
Job Description
- Perform cytology work including reading PAP smears and non-GYN slides.
- Conduct molecular testing on PAP vials and grossing tasks.
- Demonstrate technical skill in cytology processing, preparation, and staining.
- Screen an average of 60 to 80 slides per day, adhering to CAP and Pathologist limits.
- Assist in specimen collection as requested.
- Maintain computerized patient records.
- Ensure diagnostic accuracy within one grade of Pathologist or Consultant diagnosis.
Required Qualifications
- Cytotechnologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Current Cytotechnologist (CT) certification from ASCP is required.
- Associate degree required.
Additional Information
- Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility (radius rule).
- Prior travel experience is required.
