Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit: Endoscopy (73310)
- Beds: 9
- Staff: 11 full/part-time RNs, 2 PRN
- Shift: Day shift only (7 AM - 5 PM)
- Staffing: 6-7 RNs and 2 techs per day
- Patient Ratios:
- Intra-op team: 2 RNs per 1 patient
- Pre/post-op: 1 RN per 2 patients
- Equipment: Olympus endoscopes and reprocessors
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Experience & Skills
- Specialty: Endoscopy RN
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years
- Must Have:
- Endoscopy experience including circulating and tech procedures
- Preferred:
- Pre/post-op experience
- Experience with Olympus scopes and reprocessors
Typical Procedures
- EGD/Colonoscopy
- ERCP
- EUS
- EBUS (and variations of these procedures)
Work Environment & Expectations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Works well as part of an intraoperative team
- Take call 1 night per week and every 4th to 6th weekend
- Staff perform both basic and interventional/therapeutic procedures on high-acuity patients alongside highly specialized physicians
