Unit Information

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (Department 746)
Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center
Bed Capacity: 383 total beds; Cardiac Cath Lab has 5 procedure suites
Staffing: 1 Director, 1 CNC, approximately 4.6 staff RNs, and 5 techs
Shift: Day shift for all staff; night shift on-call crew for emergent cases only
Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 patient to 3-4 staff members
Equipment: Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, Rotoblator
EMR Systems: MacLab & Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
Required Clinical Experience: Cardiac Cath, CRM, and Peripheral Vascular (PV) experience
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Preferred Skills

Experience with EP/ABL procedures is preferred but not mandatory

Typical Procedures Performed

Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization
Peripheral Vascular procedures
Pacemakers, ICDs, Watchman device, TAVR
Electrophysiology/Ablation (EP/ABL)

Schedule and Work Expectations

Scheduled according to facility policy
Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital employees
