Unit: 4A (Medical Surgical Floor)
Number of Beds: 28
Patient Ratios:
- PCU: 1:4
- Telemetry: 1:6
- Blended sets: 1:5 (experience required)
EHR System: Meditech
Patient Population: All ages

Licensure: Registered Nurse license in Virginia
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- HWC (Heart and Stroke Certification)
- NIH (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certification)
Experience: Minimum 2+ years Medical Surgical experience required
Float Requirements: May require travel within a 25-mile radius of the facility
Orientation: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays (Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered Travel)
Additional Screening: Consent to random drug screening and completion of a criminal questionnaire/consent form required

250-bed Academic Community Hospital
Region’s only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
Accredited by American College of Cardiology and American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
Services include comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, home health & hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehab, cath labs, and oncology

Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no casual wear
