Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Beds: 3 cath labs
- Staffing: 10-11 staff per day (day shift only; no night shift)
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 3 staff per room
- Equipment: GE X-ray/MacLab
- EMR System: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
- Use of Impella and balloon-pump devices
- Peripheral cases
- Complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs)
- Occasional device procedures
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Work Environment & Expectations
- Shift: Day shift only
- Hours per week: 36
- Dress Code: Light blue scrubs (provided by hospital)
- Floating: None
- On Call: Some weekends and weekdays on call required
- Other:
- Professional conduct and reliable attendance are vital
- Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes if called back

Cons
Resources for your unit some are helpful others are not. If you have to use a timesheet for your pay the CNC doesn’t like that hopefully agency can upgrade that.
