Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Assignment
Location: Bradenton, Florida

Facility & Unit Overview
- Level II Trauma Center with 383 beds (28-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), 383 acute care hospital, average census 240)
- Physical Therapy unit staffed with 17 PTs (full-time and PRN)
- Day shift only; no night shift coverage
- Patient ratios:
- IRF: 4 patients/day
- Acute care: 8-12 patients/day
- Equipment includes 2 therapy gyms, Vector, LiteGait, ADL Apartment
- EMR system: Meditech
Job Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
- Unit policies include 1 weekend shift per month
Required Qualifications
- Active PT license
- Active BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Willingness to work on the IRF unit
- Critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital and IRF experience (highly preferred)
- Stroke/neuro experience

- Evaluation, treatment, discharge planning
- Participation in team conferences and family training
- Use of adaptive devices and equipment
