Overview

• Travel assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
• Unit: ICU
• Main Campus
• 25-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 2:1
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Strong Telemetry Skills
• Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
• Chest tube experience

Preferred

• Open Heart experience
• Temporary pacing
• Swan-Ganz Catheter experience

Unit Details

• No LNAs or PCTs
• Around the clock mid-levels, Trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapist
• PT/OT available during day shift
• Floating is on a rotation basis, with travelers floating first
• 12 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts per month
• Schedule is completed by department leadership around RTO
• Meditech Expanse documentation system

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Intubation
• Central line and arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement
