Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care on a Behavioral Health Unit with 12 beds.
Patient ratio is approximately 1:6.
Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed.
Work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Electronic Health Record system used: Meditech.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) certification.
Medical-Surgical float experience, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in geriatric psychiatric nursing.
Experience on a medical floor.

Work Environment & Culture

Team-oriented workplace.
Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed.
No call requirements.

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
Facility is a Level III Trauma Center.
