Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Surgery

Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Specifics – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

  • Number of beds: 403
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • Staffing: RN plus 2 techs per room
  • Equipment: DaVinci Robot XI
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Floating policy: General OR
  • Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
  • Minimum 1 year of cardiac nursing experience
  • Operating Room (OR) experience
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Skills & Procedures

  • Cardiac experience required
  • Advanced skills for procedures including:
    • CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
    • Valve replacements
    • TAVARS (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Surgery)
    • TEVARS (Transcatheter Endovascular Aortic Repair Surgery)
    • Robotic lung surgeries
    • VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery)
    • Thoracotomies
