Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Beds: 26
Staff: 65 (Day Shift includes Charge RN, RN, and PCT; Night Shift staffing not detailed)
Patient Ratio: Approximately 2:1 (not guaranteed)
Equipment: Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech / CPN

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Minimum 2 years of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Meditech EMR experience
Experience with large trauma facilities
Skills in Sono IV and CRRT

Typical Procedures

Moderate sedation
Hemodynamic monitoring
Airway management

Work Environment & Culture

Emphasis on teamwork, coachability/adaptability, and maintaining a positive attitude
