Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour nights (18:45 - 07:15)
• Start Dates: March 2 or March 16
• Experience Required: 3+ years in Labor and Delivery (highest stated requirement)
• Must have experience with:

  • Magnesium drips
  • C-sections
  • Floating to Post-Partum unit as needed
• EPIC experience required
• RTO (Return to Office) must be 5 days or less
• No block scheduling; flexibility required

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Washington
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified, RQI not accepted
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certified, RQI not accepted
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required for L&D RNs, AHA certified, RQI generally not accepted
• Competency exams:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
  • Patient Restraints Competency Exam
  • Core Part I, II, III (annual, minimum 85% score)
  • OSHA Mandatory (annual, minimum 85% score)
  • IV Therapy/Infusion Exam (if applicable)

Health and Background Requirements

• Background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (highly preferred) or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (QGold, T-SPOT, or 2 PPDs)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: titer or 2 vaccines, booster if negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: proof of series, titer, or facility-specific declination
  • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination (required year-round)
• Drug screen: 10-panel within 30 days of start (instant tests accepted)

Additional Requirements

• No less than two satisfactory references from previous employers within the last year, including clinical competency and reliability evaluations
• Employment application copy required
• Washington state-specific background checks (WSP/WATCH and WA Courts Search)

Summary
