Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 11:00 to 18:30, 40 hours per week
Weekend schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun, 7a to 7:30p (see shift)

253-bed acute care community hospital in Northeast Philadelphia
Pennsylvania Level II Trauma Center
Work settings: General OR and Level II Trauma
OR supports open and endovascular vascular surgery, orthopedic and spine procedures, trauma surgery, neurosurgery, podiatry, general surgery, urology, and robotic surgery
Advanced vascular procedures are performed in a hybrid endovascular suite

Position Details

Experience required: 2 years
First-time travelers: Accepted
Local candidates: Accepted
On call: Not required; may pick up if interested
Scheduling: All time-off requests must be submitted with the contract submission. Requests received later will not be accepted. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
Pre-start compliance: Planned time off must not interfere with completing all required pre-start compliance before the start date.
Scrubs: Provided by the hospital

Requirements

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
2 years of experience in the general operating room (OR)
OR experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military, or RQI
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Ability to scrub
Experience working with podiatry patients
Experience with robotic surgery
Experience with AAA repair
Experience with AV fistula repair
Experience with carotid angioplasty/stenting
Experience with carotid endarterectomy (CEA)
Experience with femoral-popliteal bypass graft
Experience with total joint replacement
