Surgical Technologist

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Springfield, Oregon
• Start date: ASAP
• Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
• Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
• On-call required: 4 eight-hour call shifts per 4-week cycle
• Number of cases: 60–70 per day
• Level II Trauma Center
• Scrubs provided
• Parking is free

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 3 years of experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
• Experience working with Vascular patients
• Experience working with Neuro Trauma patients
• Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
• Experience working with GYN patients
• Experience with robotic surgery
• Experience with ophthalmic surgery (vitrectomies, scleral buckles, retina, cataracts)
• Experience with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair
• Experience with craniotomy
• Experience with total joint surgery procedures
• Experience with orthospine surgery

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• Level 1 trauma experience

Case Mix / Clinical Focus

• Ortho, including total joints and trauma
• Neuro, including cranis
• Gen/Trauma
• Vascular
• GYN/Uro
• Robotics
• Eyes: Vitrectomies, Scleral Buckles, Retina, and Cataracts
• General
• Ortho and Neuro Trauma
• Basic Urology
• Major Vascular, including AAA
• Common vascular cases include AAAs, Carotids, and Femoral cases
• Must be able to function without a sales rep for knees, hips, and, if possible, shoulders

Float / Scheduling Notes

• Does not float within scope
• Does not float to sister facilities
• First-timers not accepted
• Locals not accepted
• Pending license accepted
