Overview

• Role: Endoscopy RN
• Location: Rochester, New York
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 8 weeks
• Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 8:00–18:30
• Hours per week: 40
• Float scope: May float to PreAn/PACU if needed
• On-call: Weeknights, weekends, and holidays; approximately 4–6 shifts per month
• Locals accepted: Yes, if more than 75 miles away
• First-time traveler: Accepted
• Scrubs: Navy/White

Unit / Clinical Focus

• Procedural-based endoscopy assignment
• Patient diagnoses include pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric cancer; polyps; Barrett’s esophagus; and CBD stones/strictures/CA
• Special procedures/unit details: EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Manometry, Fibroscan
• Special equipment: ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, Manometry

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Endoscopy experience
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Experience with Epic
