Pediatrics RN

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Charlotte, North Carolina.
13-week assignment.
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.
Target ratio: 1:5-6.
Self-scheduling.
No call requirement.
Every other weekend required.
Float scope: PICU and NICU.
Patient population: ages 0-17, medical-surgical and hematology/oncology patients.
Unit orientation: 24 hours.
Hospital orientation during week one requires daily class availability.
Scrubs not provided; Fun Kid tops and navy pants.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Pediatric Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Pediatric Med Surg experience within the last year
Pediatrics experience
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ONS/ONCC
Ability to administer chemotherapy
RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite

Preferred

IV start and lab draw
Chemo experience and chemo certification
