RN LDRP (Labor & Deliver Recovery PostPartum)

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Tucson, Arizona
• Facility-based in the LDRP unit
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First-timers accepted, dependent on experience
• Floating required if there is need in the hospital
• Weekend requirement: 4 days per 4 weeks
• No locals within 50 miles of the facility
• 7 days or less RTO preferred

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute or Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
• Experience with Epic

Preferred

• 7 days or less RTO

Additional Requirements

• Must provide 2 professional references from employment within 3 years of start; 1 must be from a supervisory role
• Drivers license or state ID must be current and show address
• Employment application required
• Last 7 years of work history must be included, and gaps of 30 days or more must be explained
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit testing within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 3 months of start
• Drug testing must be started within 72 hours of booking and within 30 days of assignment start date
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Tdap required within the past 10 years
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation required
• HIPAA competency required
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required for RNs
• Competency exam specific to specialty required
• State license verification and NURSYS verification required
• Background check required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Orientation and facility-specific acknowledgements/sign-offs required
• Management of Assaultive Behavior or CPI certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Pass/fail testing and EKG testing may be required depending on assigned unit
