<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 21, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3>American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN-Telemetry for a MedSurg/Cardiac unit, requiring 1 year of telemetry experience and an active MI RN license.<h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in the Telemetry unit of a MedSurg/Cardiac Floor</li><li>Patient population includes cardiac, neurological/psychiatric, GI, and renal cases</li><li>1:5 patient ratio</li><li>Night shift, 2x12 hours (19:00-7:30)</li><li>13-week assignment length</li><li>Uses Cerner PowerChart for charting</li><li>Floating required based on facility census and staffing needs</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active MI RN license required</li><li>Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS</li><li>1 year of telemetry nursing experience required</li><li>Cerner charting experience preferred</li><li>Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs</li><li>Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and high flow nasal cannula</li><li>Skilled in cardiac monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias</li><li>Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care</li><li>Knowledge of heparin protocols and management of cardiac/vasoactive drips</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide nursing care for cardiac telemetry, CVA, seizure disorder, and substance withdrawal patients</li><li>Utilize rapid response/code teams as needed</li><li>Manage feeding tubes, surgical drains, and renal failure patients</li><li>Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted</li><li>Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays</li><li>Former employees must be separated from the facility for 3 years before returning as a traveler</li><li>Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted</li><li>First-time travelers will be considered</li><li>Required to complete orientation modules within the first week of the assignment</li></ul>
