Role Details

• Pediatric operating room role
• Patient population includes ENT, Urology, Neuro, General, Ortho, and Trauma
• Inpatient and outpatient cases
• Average daily census: 25
• Duties include circulating and functioning as a break nurse about 20% of the time

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• One completed travel assignment
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• 1 year of acute care experience
• 6 months of pediatric operating room experience
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• OR - Operating Room (6 months of experience)
• Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend required
• On-call requirement: 2 weekend and 2–3 weekday overnight on-call shifts per 6-week schedule

• Candidates will need to complete standard pre-start onboarding and health clearance requirements
• Mask fit testing is required prior to start
• Tdap vaccination is required
• Negative TB or chest X-ray documentation is required prior to start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required during flu season
• Two supervisor references are required
• Work history verification for at least 2 previous employers is required
