Registered Nurse — Emergency Room

Overview

Travel/contract role in Stockbridge, Georgia
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 11:00–23:00
36 hours per week
Contract length: 16 weeks
Locals accepted
No call
Weekend rotation: every other weekend
Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice
Maximum 7 days of requested time off
Unit accepts first-time travelers

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Georgia
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Certification
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
Competency exam
Color blind testing
2 clinical references
Verification of most recent employer
Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually

Compliance and Start Requirements

Full compliance is required to start on time
Background check must be complete before start
Education verification is required and may be pending at start with proof it is in progress
Physical exam statement required within 12 months of start
Negative TB test or chest x-ray required within 12 months of start
TB questionnaire required for all candidates
Drug screen required within 60 days of start
Flu vaccine or declination required
Photo ID required
Code of conduct acknowledgement must be signed before start
Dress and professional appearance policy must be reviewed

Schedule Expectations

Works major holidays if they fall during the assignment, with holiday coverage based on how many major holidays occur during the contract period
