• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Setting

• Outpatient clinic
• Does not work inpatient

Patient Population

• Adolescents and adults
• High-risk pregnancies

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Clinic experience with 2 years of experience
• Clinic experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• OB/GYN experience
• Experience with Epic
• Ability to perform:

  • Height and weight
  • Vital signs
  • Pulse oximetry
  • Patient health questionnaires, history, and allergies
  • Interpretation of laboratory results
  • CPR/cardiac arrest response
  • Telephone triage
  • Pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
  • Biohazard waste disposal
  • Follow-up phone calls
  • Medication refills
  • Patient teaching
• Must bring own stethoscope

Preferred

• L&D experience
• Ability to draw blood
• Medication reconciliation
• External fetal monitoring
• Insulin administration
• Specimen collection for urine and vaginal samples
• Urinalysis/urine dipstick
• Authorization forms
• Chart preparation
• Ordering supplies
• Work-related injury reporting

Unit Details

• Average daily census: 14
• About 28 visits per day
• Special procedures/conditions: IVF, GDM, twins
• Scheduling based on clinic needs
• No call
• No float
• No weekend requirement
• 32 hours of clinic orientation
