Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
  • Variable weekday night call shifts (8 hours, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Weekend scheduled and call shifts (10 to 12 hours)
  • Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID
  • Criminal background check within 90 days, including a 7-year search and national sex offender registry
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and ongoing every 30 days
  • Physical exam within one year of start date
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start (or documentation if positive)
  • Immunizations or antibody titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, and seasonal flu vaccination or declination
  • 10-panel drug test within 90 days of start
  • Photo for badge (white background, submitted at least 8 days prior to start)
  • Competency exams including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency (passing score 85%) preferred for related units
  • References: Two references within the last 2 years showing at least 1 year in a comparable specialty; one must be supervisory within the last 12 months

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of required facility-specific training modules by due date
  • Fit mask testing onsite within the first week of starting (not required for some lab and outpatient roles)
  • Skills checklist specific to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as applicable

This position offers a structured schedule with a mix of day shifts, night call, and weekend shifts, suitable for RNs with at least 2 years of experience in the specialty. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply. Compliance with comprehensive background checks, immunizations, certifications, and facility-specific training is mandatory.
