• Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Description

• Option for 36 or 48-hour shifts and 13 or 26 week contracts
• Frequent floating required to meet hospital staffing needs; may float to various units including sister campus 16 minutes away
• Units may include medical-surgical, telemetry, neuro, trauma, oncology, transplant, cardiac, and observation units
• Drip medication administration required on all floors
• EPIC electronic charting experience required
• First-time travel nurses not accepted unless with 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
• Care teams include CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics; LPNs assigned on some floors
• Facility is 100% nicotine-free
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period (days: Sat/Sun; nights: Fri/Sat)
• Holiday requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)
• Locals not accepted (must live more than 100 miles from facility)
• Pending license accepted but must be in hand at time of submission or booking delayed 6 weeks
• Mandatory scrubs: Steele gray with facility logo (provided after confirmation)
• Parking permit available (~$55/month) or daily parking rates

• Omaha, Nebraska
• Primary facility is a large, 718-bed acute care hospital with complex patient population and academic affiliation
• Sister campus located 16 minutes away with community hospital setting and multiple specialty units

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Nebraska
• Minimum 2 years telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Valid Driver's License

Certifications & Compliance

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) strongly preferred
• Other certifications as applicable per unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification)
• Background check within 30 days of start, including multiple county/state/federal checks
• Drug screen within 60 days of start, updated annually
• Physical exam and fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations and health documents required: Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB testing, flu vaccine documentation or declination
• COVID vaccine preferred; exemptions accepted
• Annual skills checklist required
• References: 2 work references from past 2 years (1 must be most recent employer if not current traveler)
• State-specific registry and abuse/neglect checks required
