Critical Care Float

Job Overview

• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 26 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Scheduling Notes

• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Minimal requested time off; preferred 3–5 days
• Call-outs are added to the end of the assignment

Preferred

• EPIC experience

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Drug test within 30 days of start
• 2 references within 3 years of start
• Skills checklist prior to start
• Employment application with 7 years of employment history and explanation of gaps greater than 30 days
• Background check and required state/federal screenings
• Immunization and health documentation, including TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, and flu requirements as applicable
• Required competency/testing items for RNs, including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG-related testing where applicable

Additional Notes

• Conditional Massachusetts license may be accepted if the traveler is actively working through the full process to obtain a permanent license
